Homemade Cookies

Hi Everyone,

Did you ever thought that how long does it take to make simple cookies at your home? Well if you have given a thought over it then this is a good place to perfectly answer your query. It doesn't require you to go to the market and do the shopping. Everything is available at your home. All you need is to go to your kitchen and start preparing your awesome cookies! So let's have a look at what all is needed for it.

Ingredients
2 cup         All Purpose Flour (Maida)
1 cup         Sugar
1 cup         Melted Butter (Ghee)
1 tsp          Baking Powder
A pinch of salt (Optional)

Procedure
  1. In a bowl add baking powder and flour and mix it properly.
  2. In a separate mixing bowl mix melted butter and sugar thoroughly.
  3. To this add flour mixture gradually with continuous stirring so as to avoid the formation of lumps in the batter.
  4. Gradually the batter will become very stiff and tight like a dough.
  5. Now take some oil or melted butter on your hand and make small equal sized balls and flatten them.
  6. In an oven plate spread the aluminum foil evenly.
  7. Place the balls at equidistant position by a definite margin.
  8. Now preheat the oven at 425 and place the plate in oven for 12 minutes.
  9. After 12 minutes check the cookies by inserting a tester. If it comes out clean then cookies are cooked, otherwise bake it for further 3-4 minutes.
  10. Now take out the oven plate and let it cool for 5-10 minutes and then remove the baked cookies from it.
Your cookies are ready in just 30 minutes.

Corn Vegetable Soup

Hi,

Today I cooked corn vegetable soup for the breakfast. It was very simple and was prepared in just few minutes. All I needed was a couple of vegetables in my fridge and that's it! Really astonishing it seems as it is very simple to make and with that tasty too. So  let's have a look at its ingredients.

Ingredients
1/2 tbsp        Sweet Corn Pieces
1/2 tbsp        Beans Pieces
1/2 tbsp        Peas
1/2 tbsp        Carrots (Chopped)
1/2 tbsp        Cabbage (Chopped)
1/2 tbsp        Broccoli (Chopped)
2 tsp             Corn Powder
1 tsp             Cilantro Leaves Powder (Garnishing)
Soya Sauce to color
Vinegar to taste
Chilli Sauce to taste
Black Pepper Powder to taste
Salt to taste

Procedure
  1. Put a pot on flame and add 3 full cups of water in it.
  2. Add all the chopped vegetables in it.
  3. In a separate bowl add corn powder and wet it with few 2-3 tsp of water so that it does not form lumps in water bowl. Now add the corn powder mixture in the vegetable pot.
  4. To this add some salt and black pepper and boil until the soup thickens considerably.
  5. Add some water if you want clear soup.
  6. Put the flame off after boiling the soup once. You can adjust the flame according to your need.
  7. Serve hot in the soup bowl and to this add soya sauce, vinegar and chilli sauce according to your need.
Your delicious yet less time consuming soup is ready in just 15 minutes.

Stuffed Potato Chapati

Hey everyone,

No wonder stuffed potato chapati or in India you may call it as "Aloo Ka Paratha" is always a tasty and wonderful breakfast. Served hot along with sauce (chutney) tastes its best. Today lets see how we can make our stuffed potato chapati.

Ingredients
3 pc        Medium size potatoes
1 pc        Medium size onion
2 pc       Garlic
1/2 pc    Green Bell Pepper (Optional)
2 cup      All purpose wheat flour (Atta)
2 tsp       Oil
1 tsp       fenel (Saunf)
2 pc        Bay leaf
1/2 tsp    Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp    Chilli Powder
1 tsp       Cilantro leaves powder (Bareek Dhaniya Patti)
Oil for baking chapaties

Salt to taste

Procedure
  1. Wash and boil potatoes. Peel the potato skins and keep it in a separate bowl.
  2. Finely chop the onion, garlic and bell pepper and keep aside.
  3. Put the pan on flame and add oil. On hot oil add bay leaf, fenel and finely chopped garlic.
  4. Quickly add onion to it so that the rest do not burn.
  5. When onions turns little pink add chopped bell pepper and crushed potatoes.
  6. Mix all and bake it for 2 more minutes on flame. Now the mixture is ready.
  7. In a separate bowl add flour (atta) and knead it with water to make a dough. 
  8. Make 8 equal balls of this dough. Put one flat pan on flame.
  9. Take one dough ball and dip it into dry flour and gradually by hand start making a shape of a cup.
  10. At the center of this cup add the potato mixture and gently close the cup by squeesing it with hands. 
  11. Dip again this big mixture ball in flour and slowly enlarge it to a circle of 4" diameter by using a roller (belan). Keep using the dry flour to smoothly rolling the balls.
  12. Now add this to pan kept at low flame for 1 minute.
  13. Tumble the chapati upside down and again bake for 1 minute.
  14. To over the upper layer of the chapati add 1/2 tsp oil and evenly spread it.
  15. Tumble again the chapati and oil again the other layer.
  16. Bake it till it turns little brown on both the sides. 
  17. Serve hot with sauce or chutney.
Stuffed Chapati is ready to eat with sauce.

Simple Homemade Cake

Hi,

Are you craving for some delicious and awesome sweet? Well is yes then making the cake is the best option for you. Very easy to make but awesome in taste! At the same time does not require much time for preparation. So I often make it twice a month.

Ingredients
2 cup             All purpose flour (Maida)
1 cup             Granulated Sugar
1 cup             Melted Unsalted Butter (or Ghee)
1 cup             Milk
1 tsp              Baking Powder
1 tsp              Lemonade
1/3 tsp           Soda

Procedure
  1. In a separate bowl mix dry flour and baking powder.
  2. In a big mixing bowl add melted butter and sugar. Stir well to mix properly.
  3. To this mixture gradually add some flour and then some milk with continuous stirring. Mix all the flour and milk gradually to make the batter.
  4. To this batter add lemonade, soda and mix well.
  5. The batter is ready to be cooked.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350.
  7. Grease the cake pot with some oil or melted butter. Sprinkle flour over it so as to make its edges stick free when the cake is baked.
  8. Pour the batter to the pot without giving it much jerks.
  9. You can garnish your cake by dropping some nuts over it at the top. It is optional.
  10. Place the pot in oven for 55 minutes.
  11. Check the cake by inserting a knife at various places. If knife comes out as clean then it is properly baked, otherwise bake it further for 5-10 minutes.
Your simple yet awesome cake is ready in 1 and half hour.

Well in reality no body interrupted me for having a banana but I wrote those lines for a simple reason to show that how important it is to have a banana. With taste what else do we get from a banana? So to instigate these quest in your mind I gave this article this wonderful title.

Hey all,

It is a famous proverb "One apple a day keeps a doctor away". In reality it is true. An apple is as powerful as an antibiotic. You need to be regular with it and can see its magic by yourself. With a wonderful taste it gives you the benefit of rich nutrients. The following describes the good effects of apples on your health.

Paav Bhaaj!!! WoW

Paav Bhaaji is an Indian cuisine and tastes awesome. The good part about this cuisine is that it contains almost all the healthy vegetables. It is a rich and healthy cuisine and can be made at good occasions.

Let's have a look at its ingredients


Ingredients
5pc         Potatos
2pc         Big Onion
1pc         Green Bell Pepper
1lb          Cabbage
8-9pc     Baby Carrot/Carrot
8pc         Garlic Clove
5pc         Tomatos
1"pc       Ginger
4pc         Bay Leaf (Tez Patta)
4pc         Black Cardamom (Badi Elaichi)
1tsp        Cumin (Jeera)
1tsp        Turmeric (Haldi)
1tsp        Red Chilli Powder (Lal Mirch)
3tsp        Cilantro Powder (Baarik Dhaniya Powder) 
2tsp        Curry Powder (Garam Masala)
2tsp        Paav Bhaaji Masala
1tsp        Lemonade
2tbsp      Cooking Oil

Salt to taste
Cilantro Leaves (Dhaniya Ke Patte) for Garnishing

Procedure
  1. Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker such that they can be easily crushed by  hand. Drain water and peel of the skin of potatoes. After cooling crush the potatoes with hand.
  2. Finely chop Bell Pepper, Carrot and Cabbage. Place them in a separate bowl.
  3. Finely chop onion and keep it aside.
  4. Mince ginger and garlic to make a paste.
  5. Grind tomatoes or cut them into fine pieces.
  6. In a big heating pot add oil and place it to flame.
  7. On heating sequentially add Bay Leaf, Black Cardamom, Cumin, Ginger Garlic Paste. Heat till it turns little brown.Stir on regular basis.
  8. On this add chopped onion and heat it till the onion turns into light pink color. Keep stirring.
  9. Now place tomatoes and stir it till tomatoes start leaving oil at the corner of the pot.
  10. To this add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cilantro powder and salt.
  11. Add chopped bell pepper, cabbage, carrot and some water to bake. Mix well everything and cover the lid of the pot. Bake till the vegetables become softer.
  12. Add crushed potatoes and mix well. 
  13. To this add little water as per the requirements of cuisine.
  14. At last add curry powder and paav bhaaji masala in it and heat the pot again by covering the lid for few more minutes.
  15. Garnish it with cilantro leaves.
  16. Serve Hot with either baked bread or ban with butter.
The cuisine can be used for 3 servings.

Have Pasta Have Funnnn!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I was looking out for something to have at the evening snacks time and I found boiled pastas in my fridge. Thanks to it that I could savor the awesome pastas in almost no time :)

So, lets first have a look at its ingredients.

Ingredients
4oz        Pasta (Macaroni)
1pc       Green Bell Pepper
2oz        Cabbage
6pc        Baby Carrot
1pc        Onion
1pc        Green Onion
1oz        Sweet Corn
1tbsp     Pasta Sauce
2tsp       White Sauce (Optional)
2tsp       Sour Cream (Optional)
2bunch  Cilantro Leave

1/2tsp    Black Pepper
Lemonade

Salt according to taste













Procedure

  1. Boil 2 cups of water and add pastas to it. Boil it further till the pastas get soft.
  2. Drain the hot water and wash it with cold water until the pastas get colder.
  3. Chop all the vegetables as we do for noodles. (Cabbage, Carrot, Onion, Green Onion, Green Bell Pepper)
  4. In a big mixing bowl add boiled and cooled pastas and all the chopped vegetables.
  5. Add some drops of lemonade (according to taste)
  6. To this add pasta sauce, white sauce, sour cream, black pepper powder and salt according to taste.
  7. Mix it well by either shaking well the bowl or by spoon carefully such that pastas do not loose their shape. 
  8. Garnish it with cilantro leaves.
  9. Serve it with baked bread with cheese toppings over it.

Delicious Ratatouille!!!!!

Hey friends,

Today I was not in a mood to make as usual regular meal of Dal, Sabzi, and Roti. So I thought let's find some shortcut. And presto!!! I discovered something very new and fantastic.

I wanted to make Potato Wadges (Baked Potatos) but ended up with Ratatouille :)

Okay before going into the detail of it let's first have a look at the ingredients

Ingredients
4pc      Potato
1/2pc   Cabbage
6pc      Baby Carrots
1pc      Onion
1pc      Green Onion
1pc      Green Bell Pepper (Capscum)
2pc      American Cheese Slice
2pc      Tomato
3tbs     Oil (Olive/General Cooking Oil)
1/2tbs  Black Pepper
1/2tbs  Dried Cumin Powder
1/2tbs Curry Powder/Garam Masala
Cilantro Leaves/Dhaniya ki patti (for Garnishing)
Salt According to taste

Procedure
  1. Wash and peel potatos and cut 3 potatos in equal 8 halves such that each make a shape of half moon.
  2. Cut 1 left potato to make thin slices that will be used for covering the dish.
  3. Cut the cabbage into fine equal size.
  4. Peel the carrots and make either thin slices or small wadges.
  5. Make thin slices of tomatoes by using a slicer.
  6. Make thin rings of onion by using slicer.
  7. Cut green bell pepper into equal moderate pieces as we make for noodles.
  8. In a bowl put potato pieces and slices.
  9. Add oil, salt, black pepper powder, dried cumin powder and curry powder and mix well.
  10. In an electric pot spread the aluminum foil evenly and grease it with some oil.
  11. Now gradually add Potato Wadges coated with oil at the base of it connected to each other.
  12. Over the layer of Potatos make the layer of cabbage evenly.
  13. Likewise make the layers of carrots and bell pepper.
  14. On this spread the cheese slices evenly.
  15. Over the layer of cheese add the layer of onion, green onion and tomato slices.
  16. At the top evenly spread the thin slices of potatos to cover the complete pot.
  17. Preheat the Oven at 430 F and place the pot for 25 minutes. 
  18. After taking out you can decorate it with cilantro leaves, sauce or cream.
  19. *** You can make different combination of layers and can make various designs as shown in the pictures.***

Baked Potatos

Hello all,

Potatos are one of the most common vegetable that we use in our routine cooking. It has many benefits, to name a few:

  • Maintains High Blood Pressure

Apart from these above mentioned benefits it is a good ingredient to add taste to any cuisine. So today we are going to discuss how to make simple baked potatos.



Ingredients Quantity
Medium Size Potatos 3
Oil (Daily Purpose/Olive Oil) 3 tsp
Ground Black Pepper 1/2 tsp
Curry Powder/Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
Mint Powder/Leaves (Garnishing) 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves (Garnishing)
Lemonade according to taste
Salt according to taste
                              

Procedure
  1. Wash and peel potato and cut into equal 8 pieces making a shape of half moon.
  2. In a bowl add potatos, oil, ground black pepper, curry powder and salt. Mix well.
  3. In an oven tray spread silver foil and grease it with some oil.
  4. Preheat the oven to 4250F.
  5. Evenly spread potato piece mixture over the tray.
  6. Keep the tray in oven for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Bake until the potatos turn brown with crispy border.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves, mint leaves/powder, lemonade and serve hot.

Yummy Baked Sweet Potatos

Hello all,

Sweet Potatos are one of the nutritious vegetables we get in winter season. Not only the taste but it's huge benefits compel me to make it often. Let's discuss some of its benefits in short:
Sweet Potatos

  2. Provides Manganese
  3. It is rich in Beta-Carotene
  4. Helps in keeping Healthy Heart
  5. Superior Fiber Content
There are other benefits too but as of now let us learn some ways to cook  it. Today I am discussing how to make baked sweet potatos.



 Ingredients Quantity


Medium Sweet Potatos 3
Oil (Daily purpose/Olive) 3tsp
Ground Black Pepper 1/2 tsp
Mint Powder/Leaves 1/2 tsp
Curry Powder/Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
coriander leaves
Salt according to taste




Lemonade

Procedure
  1. Wash and peel sweet potatos and cut into a shape of 1" cube
  2. In a pot put sweet potato pieces pour oil, ground black pepper, curry powder and salt
  3. Mix well by shaking the pot
  4. On an oven plate evenly spread the aluminum foil and grease it with some oil or spray some oil.
  5. Over the oven plate evenly spread sweet potato pieces and place it in a preheated oven on 430 F for 35 minutes.
  6. After heating check with a fork whether the tester is clean. Heat further otherwise.
  7. Garnish with coriander leave, mint leaves and add some drops of lemonade.
  8. Serve hot.
